The cost of a catered party can be broken down into various components. This is a general guideline for things to consider.

  • Food - number of courses, food selections, type of service
  • Beverages - soft drinks, coffee, alcoholic beverages, specialty beverages
  • Rentals - including china, flatware, glassware, serving ware, linens, tables, chairs, other decor
  • Floral arrangements and other decorations
  • Bar setup fee and liquor liability coverage
  • Service staff plus gratuities
  • Delivery charges
  • Sales tax - on food and beverage

    General Ordering & Event Guidelines

    Booking an Event

    Selecting the Menu - Larry has done a variety of cuisines at high levels. Customized menu suggestions will be given a brief discussion of likes and dislikes. Menu items change with the season

    Changes, Cancellations & Final Guest Counts - Order changes and final guest counts for most events are due 10 days prior to your event

    Cancellation policy for staffed events is detailed in your Event Confirmation.

    Deposits & Payments

    On the Forks accepts most methods of payment. Events require a 50% non refundable deposit, due in advance with the signed Event Confirmation, the remainder will be due 10 days prior to the event.

    Staffing & Gratuities- On the Forks can provide professionally trained servers, bartenders, and chefs who provide friendly, attentive service.

    Once a style of the event and uniform is decided the staff will be ready in a clean, pressed uniform.

    A minimum of 2 staff is required for staffed events.

    All staff has a 5-hour minimum per person. Rates:

    $40 per hour for the first chef/server/supervisor

    $30 per hour per server

    $30 per hour per bartender

    $30 per hour per chef

    When considering number of hours required, assume a minimum of 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for cleanup.

    Larger events may require more time. Rates may be higher during holiday periods and are time-and-a-half on actual holidays. Please consider tipping the staff if you feel they have done a good job, generally they are given in cash to each person at the event or can be included with your payment to LKCatering for us to distribute.

    Rentals – On the Forks will handle rentals for you, including linen, china, flatware, glassware, table/chairs and other supplies as needed.

    If clients handle their own rentals, rental coordination fee will apply.

    Referrals - Speak with your sales representative for a referral list of florists, bakeries, valet services and more.

    Tastings- For events of 100 persons or more, we are happy to provide limited representative samples of the menu you are considering. Note that the purpose of our tastings is to give you a feel for whether you like our food, not to have you sample everything you are considering. There is a $200 fee for a tasting for two, which is fully credited to your final bill.

    Leftover Food - On the Forks brings extra food to ensure your guests get enough. It is Up to Lkcatering staff to decide what is to be sent back and what can be left behind.

    Referrals - Word of mouth is our best form of advertising. If you're pleased with our food and service, pass along the word to your friends and acquaintances. As a thank you for your confidence in us, we'll send you a 10% discount certificate off an On the Forks event or cooking party (does not include staffing, rentals or other charges) for each referral we receive that books an event and mentions your name, after the completion of the event.
